Driveway cost is driven by area, material (pattern-imprinted concrete, block paving, granite setts, Indian sandstone, resin-bound), drainage requirements (SuDS-compliant soakaways), border detail and integrated lighting. Every SIB driveway is bespoke, so we deliver a fixed-price quote after a free site survey rather than publish per-square-metre rates that wouldn't reflect your actual ground conditions and finish.

If the new driveway uses permeable materials (block paving with permeable joints, resin-bound, gravel) or directs surface water into a soakaway or planted bed, no planning permission is normally required. Planning is only triggered when you drop a kerb onto a classified road (A or B road) or convert more than 5 m² of impermeable surface without drainage — we apply on your behalf in both cases.

A standard four-car driveway in Reading or Maidenhead takes 7–10 working days on site — dig-out, sub-base preparation, edge restraints, laying, pointing, brass lighting installation and final sealing. Larger sweeping drives with stone borders, gate piers and planted beds typically run 12–15 working days. We agree dated stages so you can plan vehicle access.

Yes — every SIB driveway is designed to current SuDS (Sustainable urban Drainage Systems) standards, with either permeable surfacing (resin-bound, permeable block paving) or engineered soakaways that hold surface water on your property and release it slowly. This protects your foundations, satisfies Thames Water and avoids the planning-permission trigger for impermeable surfaces over 5 m².

Yes — every SIB driveway carries a 5-year settlement and workmanship guarantee covering the sub-base, edge restraints, laying pattern and pointing. Brass lighting, drainage and kerb works carry the manufacturer warranty on top, and we offer an optional annual reseal service to keep colour and texture looking new.
